About Us

Who We Are

Daring Coders was started as a partnership between Siva Katir and Daniel Tucker after working together over several years. The realization came one day that all of our work involved both of us working together and so the decision was made to merge both of our efforts into one. Daniel has years of experience doing professional design work and website skinning for multiple clients. All websites shown on the Portfolio page were either designed fully by him, or he had his hand in the design of it. Siva has over 10 years of website coding experience, writing the software that makes websites tick. Siva wrote large portions of most of the Portfolio page projects, and in the case of Imgthis, wrote all of the software that the site runs on. Between them both they bring a wide tool set that allows our customers to build amazing websites but for a fraction of the cost.

What We Do

Daring Coders is dedicated to quality and cost effectiveness. Our clients will always be given the best price we can offer on all of our jobs. Many websites don't take custom designed software interfaces for them to run. We leverage open source software, such as Joomla and Silver Stripe, to bring your site into the modern internet and give it the stability and flexibility it needs keeping the costs low. All of that savings is directly passed on to the customers. As listed in our portfolio page, QuarterDown.com was built on top of Joomla, KVOS247.com on Melody, and DaringCoders.com on SilverLight, to name but a few. Thousands of dollars were saved on each site by leveraging existing open source technology for our clients and ourselves. Sometimes though those solutions just don't fit, such as the case for ImgThis. When the type of software isn't freely available, our expertise allows us to create an entire site from the ground up instead of paying for expensive software that wont necessarily match all our needed criteria.

Open Source

Our extensive use of open source solutions here at Daring Coders allows us the opportunity to give back as much as possible to the communities that allow us to thrive. Many of the custom modules that had to be created to allow sites like QuarterDown to operate cleanly on Joomla were donated back to the community free of any charges. Coming later you will be able to find many of the modules we've created here on this site released as open source.
